As for the latest iPad tablet, Apple just announced the upgraded 10.9-inch iPad, which features the A14 Bionic chip and a complete redesign that lacks a home button. If you don't mind reading from a non e-ink display, it makes for a good e-reader as well with Apple Books.
The iPad mini is on sale for $399.99 right now on Amazon, which is a second-best price.
Apple refreshed the basic iPad in September 2021 with the A13 Bionic chip offering up to 20% faster performance, a True Tone display, an upgraded front camera, and more. This is a barebones Apple tablet that offers a bigger display than the iPad mini, but isn't as powerful as the iPad Air and iPad Pro.
Amazon has a second-best price on the iPad right now at $80 off.
The newest iPad comes with a larger 10.9-inch display, the A14 Bionic chip, and a total redesign that matches the design of the iPad Pro and iPad Air. Apple is also starting these at a higher price compared to the previous generation, available from $449.
Amazon has the new iPad at $349.00 in select colors, which is a match of the all-time low price on this iPad.
As an upgrade on the previous generation, the new iPad Air has a 10.9-inch display, Touch ID power button, M1 chip, new colors, and 5G connectivity. Although they're brand new, we have begun seeing $50+ discounts on these tablets, so you can save some money on them already.

Apple unveiled the new 11-inch iPad Pro in late 2022. These tablets have 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB storage options, and they come with Apple's M2 chip. B&H Photo has $50 off the 128GB Wi-Fi 11-inch iPad Pro, which is a second-best discount.
Apple also announced new 12.9-inch iPad Pro models alongside 11-inch devices last year. These have a few differences to the smaller-screen model, including a mini-LED Liquid Retina XDR display, with up to 1,000 nits of full-screen brightness and up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness.
