Apple Seeds Fourth Beta of iOS 12.4 to Developers [Update: Public Beta Available]

Apple today seeded the fourth beta of an upcoming iOS 12.4 update to developers, two weeks after seeding the third iOS 12.4 beta, and a month after releasing iOS 12.3, a major update that introduced a revamped TV app.

Registered developers can download the new iOS 12.4 beta from Apple's Developer Center or over-the-air once the proper configuration profile has been installed from the Developer Center.

There were no new features discovered in the first three iOS 12.4 betas, so it's not entirely clear what's coming in the update. As a more significant 12.x update, it's possible that the update is focusing on a feature that's not yet available -- the Apple Card.

Apple is planning to release the ‌Apple Card‌ in the summer, so iOS 12.4 could be the update that prepares the iOS operating system for that launch, adding hidden features that will be unlocked when the update becomes available to the public.

If we find new features in the fourth beta of iOS 12.4, we'll update this post.

iOS 12.4 may be one of the last updates to the iOS 12 operating system as Apple transitions to iOS 13, set to launch this September.

I really do hope that they enable the ECG in this update for Canadians, now that Health Canada has given approval. I really hope we don't have to wait for iOS 13/WatchOS 6, for a feature that already works in other regions, just needs enabling for Canada.

Or can that be done remotely without an update?

What's a Mini 4s?
Pretty sure it’s two (or more) of iPad Mini 4... how would you prefer it to be written? iPad Minis 4? iPads Mini 4?

I'm confused. If it's supposed to add functionality which hasn't yet been enabled, then how are the beta users supposed to actually test it?
It's a developer beta. The main purpose is to test that your apps continue to work properly, not test new features.

(Developer betas also sometimes come with Release Notes calling out what in particular to test.)

[HEADING=2]Wasn’t sure where to post this. I have an XS and I’m still on iOS 12.4 beta. It works good still. Is there any reason I should update?[/HEADING]
