Apple Seeds Third Beta of iOS 9.3.2 to Developers

Apple today released the third beta of an upcoming iOS 9.3.2 update to developers for testing purposes, one week after the release of the second iOS 9.3.2 beta and more than a month after the launch of iOS 9.3, an update that introduced Night Shift mode and other feature improvements. iOS 9.3.2 has been in testing since April 6.

iOS 9.3.2 beta 3 can be downloaded over-the-air using the beta configuration profile or through the Apple Developer Center.

iOS 9.3.2 is the second minor update to iOS 9.3, coming after iOS 9.3.1, an update that introduced critical bug fixes. iOS 9.3.2 appears to fix a major Game Center bug that has plagued some iOS users for months and it reintroduces the ability to use Night Shift and Low Power Mode simultaneously.

Aside from those tweaks, there appear to be no outward-facing changes, with the update focusing on under-the-hood improvements. Any new features or fixes found in the third beta will be listed below.

Rumor: Tomorrow they'll release it for Public Beta testers and MR will post another article for page clicks instead of simply updating this one.

Hopefully this fixes the stuttering (if you say there's no stuttering, you're lying. I never complain about that stuff but it was so bad with beta 2)

Thanks for providing an "official" explanation, Juli— I actually do appreciate it despite being a bit tongue-in-cheek on my original post. I see that you guys sometimes go back and update titles / articles to say "[Update: ...]" then other times an update results in a second article, so wasn't quite sure what the mindset was for why some get a second article posted while others don't.
It generally has to do with the importance of the update, the time since the original post was written, where it's positioned, and whether the news is significant enough to warrant a separate post. We have no set rule, but these are the kinds of loose guidelines we work with when making update decisions.

With something like the iOS 9.3.2 public beta, it's coming a good 24 hours after the developer beta, and it's of interest to public beta testers who might not see the news if we just did an update to a day-old post. With the Beyonce post you mentioned, it wasn't something we'd cover again in such a short timespan and it wasn't quite important news because the original post mentioned the time of the release.

We are aware it can get noisy dealing with four separate operating systems and both developer and public betas, so we've been trying to adjust the way we deal with beta posts. You may have noticed that we've transitioned some to the iOS and Mac blogs to cut down on front page posts for minor updates. For developer betas and public betas, I think our general feeling is that there are enough public beta testers to warrant a second post.
